DigiStocked may store account and farm information that you or an authorized worker enter, including animal identification and RFID details, calving records, herd groups, camps, rainfall, stocktakes, sales, and other farm activity. JB Prinsloo is responsible for handling personal information described in this policy. You are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to add information about other people or their work.
Account and device information
To provide the service, we process account details such as your email address, farm or organization name, user roles, and sign-in records. The service may also receive technical information such as browser, device, diagnostic and security logs needed to operate and protect the app.
How information is used
- To provide, maintain and secure DigiStocked.
- To show farm records to the people authorized by the farm owner or administrator.
- To process subscriptions and provide customer support.
- To send operational notifications when you enable a feature such as notifications or an integration.
- To diagnose service problems and improve reliability.
Service providers and integrations
DigiStocked uses third-party providers to support sign-in, hosting and subscription payments. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. They may process or store information outside South Africa. If you connect an optional integration, such as Telegram notifications, information needed to provide that integration may be sent to that provider. Review the integration settings and provider policy before enabling it.
Sharing and access
Farm information is available to the owner, managers and workers the farm authorizes, according to their account permissions. We do not sell farm records or personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service, users or other people.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and farm information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain secure backups. You may request access, correction or deletion by emailing support@digistocked.com. We may retain information where the law requires it or where it remains necessary for a lawful purpose.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee complete security. Use strong sign-in credentials, limit worker access to what they need, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your choices and rights
Under POPIA and other applicable laws, you may request access to or correction or deletion of personal information, or object to certain processing. You can manage workers and some farm information in the app. Email support@digistocked.com for a privacy request. You may also contact South Africa’s Information Regulator if you have a complaint.
Children
DigiStocked is designed for farm and business use, not for children. Do not create an account for a child without the required legal authority and consent.
Changes
We may update this policy as DigiStocked changes. We will update the effective date above and provide any notice required by law.
